Cuddle and Snuggle is the first Domestic AU Fic Fest dedicated to EXO's maknae line: Kai & Sehun. Our goals are to share the warmth of love and family through this pairing and to strengthen the bond among the SeKaist community.

Round Two
What has changed?
Welcome back to the Domestic SeKai Fest! This round, we have decided to implement two major changes and two lesser changes:
No smut. Exactly as it sounds, we will not accept any fics with explicit sex. A writer may imply acts, refer to them in passing (i.e., comment on hickeys in intimate places), fade to black, etc., but straightforward sex is banned. There are fests devoted to kinks and smut, so there is plenty of juicy content. We want to cater to the fluffier side of things. Consider the emotions and connections the character have that build the foundation for their intimate and/or sexual relationship.
No required wordcount. We've done away with it! It can be more stress than it's worth to some writers, and a lot of words aren't always necessary to tell a captivating story.
Our Twitter account has changed to @domestic_sekai
We are now a three mod team. One mod left us during the first round, so we went from the Fantastic Four to the Three Amigos.
What does this mean for you?
Not too much; follow our Twitter for updates, and we three will continue doing our best to host this fest and cultivate more SeKai fics. Hopefully, our major changes creates a more attractive setting for writers of domestic fiction.
What is the "domestic" theme, again?
The domestic theme is not just a couple settled in their ways but rather focuses on the home and relationships within the home. This can be any stage of the relationship and household. SeKai first moving in together or house hunting for their growing family or navigating a divorce... We look forward to your creative prompts and interpretations!
Prompting
PROMPTING GUIDELINES
Open. Prompting is open for everyone, whether you're a writer or not.
Originality. Do not copy or steal prompts from other fests.
One prompt per form. If you want to submit more than one prompt, use a new form for your each idea.
Genre. Whether angsty or fluffy or a mix, we encourage a happy ending to suit our warm, homey fest theme.
AUs. Alternate settings and AUs, such as ABO, spies, royalty, etc., are accepted as long as the prompt is centers around SeKai's domestic life.
Rating. With our "no smut clause," acceptable ratings will be from G to NC17 only to include graphic themes such as potential violence or blood. If you don't care about the rating and want to leave it up to the writer, select "Any."
No dynamic preference. Avoid specifying top or bottom in the relationship. Why? Read here.
Clarity. Do not leave a prompt too vague, such as Kai and Sehun are married for five years. Give some guidelines for the writer, i.e. key plot points.
Specificity. If you can leave a detailed prompt, you can write a detailed fic and may be better off self-prompting. Prompts should not be too long, and they should provide writers with creative license.
Inclusions & Avoidances. Our archive includes "housewarmers" and "homewreckers" for writers to consider. "Housewarmers" are suggestions; "homewreckers" must be avoided.

Self-Prompting
Self prompting is submitting your own prompt with the intention to write it yourself. Mod team still needs you to submit the prompt for us to review. If approved, we will send you a confirmation email, and you can proceed.
Same rules and restrictions apply to self-prompts, and they also follow the same schedule.
Important — Please make sure you're available on the social media link included in prompting form, in case mods need to reach out for clarification.

Acceptable Topics
Keeping in mind our "no smut clause," consider the following topics when prompting:
Parenting
Married life
Arranged marriage life
Babysitting
Cohabiting (dating, roommate, housemate)
Single parent (Kai + child or Sehun + child)
Uncle & niece/nephew
Adoption or Mpreg
Getting/Taking care of pet (or hybrid)
Family holiday break/trip
Family dinner/cooking date/baking
This is not an exhaustive list. Feel free to be creative and to ask questions, if you're unsure whether or not your idea fits our domestic theme.
When prompting, you can choose either to use only one topic or combine several topics.
Example — married life + parenting or dating + cohabiting + babysitting
Banned topics — Gender bender/rule 63, explicit abuse, incest, underage substance usage, noncon/dubcon, underage sex
CLAIMING
Claiming guidelines
You can choose up to two (2) prompts in one claiming form, in case your first choice is taken. Mods will then send a confirmation email within a couple days. Your response to that email is what officially includes you among our fest writers.
If you're unable to finish your claim, please approach the mods to either drop it or change it.
There is no limit to how many fics you can write. If you finished your first fic and have the drive and dedication to write another one, claiming closes with the first check-in. However, for those who claimed before that time, the archive will remain open to you. Contact the mods about your subsequent prompt choice.
Please do not openly share, discuss, or hint about your prompt choices. Keep your anonymity until the reveals in spring.
If you have questions about the prompt you chose, contact the mods. We will relay any questions or concerns to your prompter and update you.
Important — Please make sure you check your email frequently after submitting the claiming form. This will be our primary method of contact.

WRITING
WRITING GUIDELINES
Kai & Sehun. The fic should be centered around either of those two. Supportive characters, side pairings and/or past relationships are accepted as long as the endgame is SeKai.
Anonymity. Throughout the duration of the fest, do not share your prompt.
Plagiarism. Any work found to be plagiarized will be removed.
Wordcount.. No minimum or maximum wordcount; however, each fic must be complete and stand alone when submitted.
No smut. PWP and explicit sexual scenes are unacceptable this round. (Inexplicit sexual scenes are acceptable.)
Responsibility. Finish writing within the given time frame. If there were any circumstances where you'd need an extension or drop out, please contact the mods. Do not disappear on us.
Prompt. If you have any questions regarding the prompt, approach the mod team and we'll relay the message for you. There is also no limit as to how many fics one author can write. After finishing one fic, contact the mods, and we will clear you for another claim.
Genre & AU. Fics can be of any genre: angst and/or fluff but we encourage happy ending to suit our fest theme. Additional AUs (such as A/B/O, medieval, royalty, etc) are accepted as long as the fic circulates around Kai & Sehun domestic life.
Rating. Fics can be rated for General Audiences to Mature. Unrated fics will not be accepted.
Tags. Additional tags are required. All entries must be rated and tagged with appropriate warnings and triggers. Writers should address any sensitive topic included in their writing in the Notes at the Beginning of their fic.
Proofread. We encourage you to get your stories betaed or proofread. We will not provide betas, but betacupid and beta_find on Twitter can match you with a beta based on your needs.
Important — Please make sure you're available on the social media link included in claiming form. This is important for mod team to check for your progress and etc.

Check-ins will be done through Google Forms, which will be emailed to participants a few days before check ins are scheduled to start. Within the form will be an option for extensions. These will be automatically granted, and you can edit your response for more time or to reflect the completion of your check-in.

Round Two Adoptions
Adoptions will be open from May 21st until December 31st, when the form will close.
The same rules and restrictions apply from our second round.
After claiming, you will receive a copy of your response and a separate confirmation email. That will be our only communication with you, unless you reach out with questions, concerns, or want to drop your adoption. There are no check-ins.
Once you complete your fic, submit it to our AO3 adoption collection. Please include "Written for cuddleandsnuggle Round 2, Prompt CS###" in the Notes at the Beginning. Finally, email the following information to us: your AO3 username, prompt number, Twitter handle (optional), and a link to your work. We will then promote your fic!
Understand that while we're between rounds, we're not checking our Twitter account as often, so please allow a few days for a response when DMing us.

Final Submissions
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
It is not required for you to post your own fic, however, you must provide us either an AO3 account username or Twitter username to associate with your fic during reveals.
If you want to remain anonymous, regardless of posting on your own or through us mods, tell us in your final submission email.
To post on your own, using your own AO3 account, you will go to the Post menu at the top right of your screen and choose "New Work." After filling out the required fields, you may Preview before posting or Post right away. The following screen will show you your posted work along with a banner at the top indicating that it's been submitted to an unrevealed collection.
Asterisks and red text signify required fields. For our fest, we require these fields:
Rating Not Rated, General audiences, Teen and up, Mature, Explicit
Archive Warnings any warnings must be listed in the tags

Relationships
Characters
Tags additional tags are required, i.e. genre, key themes, any warnings, universe, etc.
Title
Co-creators adding our account (domestic_sekai) allows us to change the date of your fic when we reveal it, allowing it to show up at the top of search results
Summary
Notes at the beginning must include your claimed prompt number or indicate it as a self-prompt (i.e., prompt CS000 for Domestic SeKai or self-prompt written for Domestic SeKai)
